In the run-up to the negotiations for the Global Plastic Treaty starting in November 2022, Break Free From Plastic (BFFP) and Alianzi Zero Waste Indonesia (AZWI) are organising a press briefing on waste trade issues in Indonesia and the Asia Pacific. The briefing will include a panel discussion with speakers from Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines, in addition to a waste trade report launched by the Nexus3 Foundation. The briefing is open to any journalist keen on covering waste trade issues, and the report can serve as an example for countries in the Asia Pacific region to frame their own waste trade legislation.
